Volunteer Receptionist

You will be part of the team at Fratton Community Centre, the Community Centre serving the Fratton neighbourhood. The Centre is managed by Fratton Community Association and is a registered charity. You will be required to work one 2/3-hour shift per week. Welcoming visitors and generally ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience whilst visiting the Centre. Hours to be worked will be to suit the postholder.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

▪ Reception duties including giving information, taking booking enquiries, answering telephone, taking messages, checking and relaying information via the message book.

▪ Till operation, and secure handling of cash and card payments.

▪ Selling light refreshments from the tuck shop.

▪ Operation of electronic and manual booking systems as per the guidelines.

▪ Emergency cleaning as required

Skills

Criteria 

- Minimum 18 years old

- Requires a DBS check

- Basic IT skills

- Friendly face

- Able to operate a till
