One Off Event/ Short-term Volunteers
We have a bank of volunteers who are on standby to help out both at times of great opportunity and at times of crisis. Opportunities to volunteer will come in the form of VIP visits, cultural festivals or micro tasks that can be done at home that give us a chance to showcase all the good things happening within the city, as well as supporting national charities.
Micro volunteering is perfect for busy people who’d like to get involved and help charities, but don’t have much time to give.
The opportunities/tasks might be suitable for all ages, and all types of people, as well as groups of people (families, work colleagues etc).
Why?
Our volunteers have signed up to our service as many would like to help their community but have limited time to do so. By volunteering for a one off event, volunteers can pick the role they want to volunteer for and turn up on the day to help your Organisation.
2023 saw a growing need for volunteers at one off events. Our volunteers have helped many organisations at their events, without the need for spending extra time finding and cultivating the necessary one off volunteers.
The role – what they can do for you
There are two different types of one off roles that we support; one off events or short term tasks out in the community. Second is micro-volunteering (short term) tasks that can be completed at home.

The Volunteers
With a bank of over 300 one off volunteers, we have a wide range of skills and knowledge! Many volunteers may already have DBS check and various different levels of training.
Most of our volunteers are people who wish to help the community but are limited due to the time constraints of daily life. In the past we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from volunteers who have enjoyed their experience, and continue to support various organisations throughout the year.
How it works
The process to advertise a one off / micro-volunteering task is easy!
- All you need to do is complete a quick basic online form (see below)
- We will upload it to our website and contact you if we need anymore details.
- We then send it to our bank of one-off volunteers, and make sure anyone that is interested matches your criteria for the role.
- We will then send you the volunteers that match, with any information that you may need (such as emergency contact details if doing an event).
- After the event/task we contact the volunteers to get feedback and to send them a thank you. (We also send out certificates for set number of hours volunteered throughout the year).
If you think our volunteers can help you, please fill in the form below, and we will get in touch.
