One-off event: Cheer Team Volunteer - Great South Run 2026 - 18th October

As a Cheer Point Volunteer, you’ll be the lively, supportive presence of Alzheimer’s Society along the race route, encouraging and motivating participants as they push towards the finish line. This is a fantastic opportunity to show runners how much we appreciate their dedication to supporting Alzheimer’s Society, whilst helping to create a memorable, uplifting atmosphere for all runners! 

We are looking for Cheer Point Volunteers for the AJ Bell Great South Run 2026, taking place on Sunday the 18th October in Southsea. The 10 mile route goes along the seafront and past the Historic Dockyard. 

Volunteers will be:

▪ Using provided cheer materials to make as much noise as possible and cheer on our runners.

▪ Be part of the team creating a high-energy and encouraging environment for participants!

About the Organisation:

When you volunteer at an event as part of team Alzheimer's Society, you are helping us to get one step closer to a world where dementia no longer devastates lives by supporting all of our amazing fundraisers. This support is so incredibly important in helping Alzheimer’s Society carry out its mission to provide Help and Hope for those living with dementia.
