Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a friendly organised person to provide invaluable support to the cooking kitchen team at Food Cycle Community Meal on a Wednesday afternoon/ evening.

Duties include:

• Washing and drying the dishes
• Disposing of all the rubbish to the bins on site
• Washing and drying the kitchen linens and aprons in the washer/dryers on site
• Sweeping and washing the floor before leaving

This is a great opportunity to learn more about how a busy kitchen runs.

A 3 course meal provided to you. 

About the Organisation

FoodCycle Portsmouth runs volunteer-powered community meals, reducing food poverty & social isolation by serving tasty, nutritious meals to vulnerable people. Nationally, our incredible volunteers have served +125,000 meals made using over 146,000kg of surplus food.

Skills

• You should be physically able as there is some lifting involved
• Organised and clean in working in a specific area
• Friendly and teamwork oriented 
• Before the volunteering session you will need to complete a 10min training video and quick quiz
