To assist the lead volunteer with cooking, serving and clearing of a two course meal to the Parish Lunch Club Members, who may include vulnerable adults.
Core Tasks
• To set up the hall for lunch including tables, chairs, cloths, cutlery, glasses, etc.
• To provide a warm welcome, take payments and register new members.
• To help prepare, cook and serve food from the kitchen providing table service.
• To clear, wash and return dishes to cupboards.
• To clear down and clean tables and chairs at the end of the meal.
• To remove rubbish from the hall/kitchen to the Cathedral House bins ensuring that recycling and general rubbish are disposed of appropriately.
• To report any defects to the Head Verger.

Skills
• A keen interest in helping and supporting socially.
• Interested in providing healthy cooked meals at minimal cost.
• Well presented, with a friendly and approachable personality, a sense of humour and can-do attitude.
• A person who can work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Whilst being a practising Christian is not a requirement, volunteers should be sympathy with the ethos and aims of the Cathedral as a Christian organisation.

Availability Details
Our Parish lunch club runs on Mondays approx 6 times each school term, from 10am to approx 2.30pm.
