Donate 100 things to your local community challenge
As part of Portsmouth City turning 100 years in 2026, why not show your support to the local community by taking on the challenge of donating 100 items to the local community. This can be done however suits you best in a few donations all across the whole of 2026. We are asking people to take part in the challenge to donate items that benefit local charities, community organisations and other non-profit organisations.
You can work as an individual, or team. Maybe as a family, group of friends or work place?

How it works
1. Sign up to the challenge here. Commit to donating 100 items throughout 2026!
2. Choose what, how many and where to donate. Each month we will send you an email with latest ideas of local places you can donate to, you can either choose to donate to these or other ones you know of. Examples of things you can donate; food, clothing, books, school clothes etc.
3. Track your progress. Use the quick online form to let us know how many items and where you have donated to. Log your Donations for Donate 100 things Challenge – Fill in form
4. Help us promote the opportunity to others. if you can. Tell friends, family, share on social media. Send in photos of items to others so we can share with potential volunteers. Humanise donating rather than chucking away. The more people that join the bigger the impact.

Process:
