One Off Role - Lakeside Parkrun Volunteer - 25th April

Parkrun events take place every week and everyone is welcome to volunteer, we’d love you to join in!


There are plenty of opportunities to try new roles, apply your skills or learn new ones, be with friends and family, meet people and be a part of the parkrun community. There is something for everyone at parkrun, you could be setting up the course, scanning people’s barcodes at the finish or ensuring everyone gets safely around the route as a marshal. We never ask anybody to do anything they're not comfortable with and if you want to do a particular volunteer role, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate.


You don’t need any experience of parkrun, junior parkrun or of volunteering. There are a range of roles to choose from, and many of them can be combined with walking or running too.


You can volunteer alone or team up with someone else, and there are always people on hand if you have any questions.


Every time you volunteer gets you one step closer to an official parkrun milestone, which rewards those who have volunteered 10 (for those under 18), 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 times.

What is Southsea parkrun?

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you Nearby Saturday parkrun events are also available

When is it?

Every Saturday at 9:00am.

Where is it?

The event takes place at Lakeside North Harbour, Western Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO6 3EN.

What does it cost to join in?

Nothing - it's free! but please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once


Process:

You will need an account to register your interest for this role. Once you have registered your interest you will receive an automatic email with next steps. If you have not received this in a couple of hours, please do get in touch as it may not have registered (volunteering@hiveportsmouth.org.uk). 

You will need to respond to the "Criteria Check" email to progress with this role. 

Please check your junk email folder in case any emails end up there.  Friendly reminder that the charities/organisations emails may end up here too.

Need to be happy supporting the public whilst they run 

You need to sign up to Parkrun for free to volunteer 

Minimum Ages 14yrs with a parent nearby,

families can volunteer together

Saturdays 9am
