Centenary Administration Assistant

HIVE Portsmouth is a collaborative partnership in Portsmouth, bringing together representatives from the voluntary and community sector, NHS Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group, and Portsmouth City Council.

Our mission is to work alongside local people, groups, and organisations in ways that recognise and build on the strengths of individuals, families, and communities. We aim to foster independence and self-reliance as an alternative to traditional service dependency.

We connect people and organisations to share resources, support one another, and learn together to meet individual needs. Our commitment is to create a happier, healthier, and more connected city through collective effort.

We are currently seeking volunteers to join our team and help deliver these vital services. This role will primarily involve administrative support, with a focus on our upcoming 2026 centenary project.

Key tasks include:

• Providing basic administrative assistance
• Updating and amending spreadsheets
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
• Sending emails related to the Team 100 project

Depending on your skills and interests, the role could also expand to include social media management and digital marketing.

Skills

• Good communication skills and pleasant manner.
• Discretion when handling confidential information. 
  
• Ability to work as part of a team. 
  
• Good computer literacy, including experience of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  
• Good numeracy skills an advantage. 
• Ability to work from home and use of Microsoft Teams and Zoom
