Producer - Audio Recordings for Blind & Partially Sighted People

We urgently need producers to compile a 60 minute programme from material gathered by Editors and co-ordinate with Readers and the Sound Engineer to produce a master tape.

Havant Borough Talking News produces a fortnightly recording of news items which are sent out to blind and partially sighted people in the Havant Borough area. Editors select news articles from The News and other local publications. We are looking for Producers whose role is to compile a 60 minutes programme from the articles gathered by the Editors. Producers also attend the recordings and liaise with the Sound Engineer to monitor quality. 

This is interesting and rewarding, as we provide those snippets of local news our listeners cannot access elsewhere.

About the organisation

Havant Talking News is a free service, recording and sending out recordings from local newspapers to blind and partially sighted people in the Havant Borough area. Recordings are sent out on memory sticks and purpose built machines can be loaned for those without suitable equipment
