This centenary is more than a milestone—it’s a moment for our vibrant community to come together, reflect on our rich history, and look ahead to a bright and unified future. As we mark 100 years of city status, we invite you to be part of something truly special.

We’re excited to invite passionate individuals to be part of Team 100, a dynamic volunteer initiative launching in 2026. As a Team 100 volunteer, you’ll take on the inspiring challenge of contributing 100 hours of service throughout the year—supporting local projects, building connections, and making a real difference in our community.

The first volunteer roles will go live in December 2025, and we’d love for you to be among the first to learn more and get involved. Whether you're looking to give back, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, Team 100 is a great way to do it. You can also volunteer individually or in groups!

There will be a dedicated group of volunteers and organisations who will help deliver a dynamic programme of events throughout the year. Whether you’re a local resident, part of a community group, or simply passionate about giving back, there’s a place for you in Team 100.

Flexible Volunteering for Everyone

• 100 hours across the year which could be just in a series of one-off events, or regular volunteering —you choose!
• Open to individuals, families, youth groups, schools, and organisations
• Opportunities to volunteer at home or in the community
• Activities include donations, recycling, planting wildflowers, neighbourhood clean-ups, and more
• Focus on mental health, community connection, and acts of kindness to unite Portsmouth
