Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity where you can meet new people but also have the flexibility to decide when and where you volunteer?
We are looking for a volunteer to help build and lead a local team of volunteers who will organise NCT events and activities to support local parents. You will be directly involved in deciding what type of events and activities you think are most needed locally.
This is an exciting role where you can help make a real difference to parents in your community. You will need to be good at working in a team, motivating others and decision making.
We welcome volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and you do not need to be a parent yourself. All our roles are family friendly.
You will be supported by our central Volunteering Team and our amazing NCT family of volunteers across the UK and Channel Islands who will help support you every step of the way.
Time commitment:
The time you will spend will vary from week to week but around 2 hours on average.
This is a great volunteer role for anyone who is passionate about making a difference, is organised and is friendly. We would love to discuss this role with you in more detail so please do get in touch.
About the Organisation
Our vision is that everyone who becomes a parent feels confident, connected, and safe because we believe parents help build the foundations of the future. That\'s why NCT is the charity with a clear and singular mission – we support people as they become parents. We’re here for you through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
Our network of over 4,500 volunteers arrange regular activities that boost the wellbeing of over 106,000 parents each year and help build communities.
Process:
You will need an account to register your interest for this role. Once you have registered your interest you will receive an automatic email with next steps. If you have not received this in a couple of hours, please do get in touch as it may not have registered (volunteering@hiveportsmouth.org.uk).
You will need to respond to the "Criteria Check" email to progress with this role.
Please check your junk email folder in case any emails end up there. Friendly reminder that the charities/organisations emails may end up here too.
Don't forget you can add up any volunteering hours as part of Team 100 Opportunity - Hive Portsmouth or part of the Donate 100 things challenge Opportunity - Hive Portsmouth.
