About us

Loaves of Love was created out of a wish to help and support marginalised women in our local community. We bring women together through the medium of baking bread to help them feel welcome and valued in the community.

Who are we looking for?

We need more Chefs to teach the classes and are looking for local people who can spare 3 hours once or twice a month to teach a class.

* Teach baking classes, choosing recipes for bread, cakes, and pastries that can be completed within 3 hours.
* Organise and prepare for each class, ensuring all necessary ingredients are available.
* Purchase required ingredients or coordinate assistance for acquiring them.
* Lead a diverse group of participants, some of whom may not speak English as their first language.
* Participate in occasional meetings to discuss the project's progress and future directions.

When do we need you?

* 3 hours on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.
* Chefs will use a rota system to ensure there is always enough coverage for each class, so you won't need to teach every single class.
* Additional time for meetings as needed.

Skills

* Knowledge of baking, including breads, cakes, and pastries.
* Experience in teaching or leading classes is preferred but not required.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
