There are two volunteering opportunities for the vaccine hubs
1. Vaccine Observer/Wellbeing Volunteer
The role of the Vaccine Observer / Wellbeing Volunteer is to support the clinical team in the 15 minute waiting area, chatting and making general / light conversation.
The volunteer will also capture feedback from our clients/patients, following their vaccine, by using an iPad and making sure they are wiped clean ready for the next person to use.
You will inform the nurse or persons in charge immediately of any problems or issues that may arise.
A DBS will be required for this role.
2. Car Park/indoors Marshal/Guide
This role is to support Solent NHS Trust and the COVID Vaccine Programme.
The role is to provide support to the community by directing cars through a one-way system to a parking space, ensuring the flow of traffic is moving at a safe pace.
Further marshals will direct and guide visitors safely (on foot) around the course, into the vaccine centre.
The marshals are there to be a visible presence, offering clear direction, guidance and reassurance to visitors attending the centre, with help to exit the car park promptly.
