Cycle event volunteer

Portsmouth Climate Action (PCA) helps local residents and organisations better understand the danger of burning fossil fuels, and the many benefits of reducing our emissions.

The organisation partners with local community groups, schools, the University and businesses to lower their carbon footprint and create a greener, healthier, more prosperous city.

We have a youth group who are organising group fun ride- in Southsea- to draw attention to the benefits and joys of cycling, as well as how better quality cycle lanes would get a wider range of people to give it a go (as we saw during the pandemic)

To help the ride happen we need experienced cyclists to act as ride leaders / side marshalls / back stops.

Process:

Skills

- experience leading a ride or acting as a side marshall on a group ride - calm and patient attitude as this will be a family and kid friendly ride - good working in a group
