MAKE@Aldingbourne is a unique community project in Fratton, Portsmouth, and a proud part of the Aldingbourne Trust. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them develop skills for independent living, employment, and community involvement.
Our vibrant project includes a café, charity shop, creative arts studio, and hosts a variety of community events. We also run other initiatives in Portsmouth, such as GIG Buddies, Dynamite, and a new café at the John Pound Centre. MAKE is more than a place—it’s a community where people connect, learn, and grow.
Volunteer Role: We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support our small team of staff. Activities may include:
- Assisting in our welcoming café
- Helping with craft workshops in our creative studio
- Supporting the charity shop by selling donated products
- Engaging with visitors and promoting a friendly, inclusive environment
