Your local café needs your help! We are looking for a volunteer to work in our new coffee shop at St Luke's Church, opposite Unite Greetham Street.
Volunteering is a wonderful thing to do, not just for others, but for yourself as well. Not only does it help the community, it’s also good for you in many ways. Volunteering has a proven benefit to your physical and mental wellbeing, with great social opportunities offered through the roles you can choose from. It can also help you gain valuable experience, which can be handy when updating your CV or applying for jobs.
The role of the Café Assistant / Barista is to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all customers, co-workers and staff. To prepare fresh food and drinks in a coffee shop setting whilst maintaining a high standard of service and customer care with a friendly and polite attitude at all times.
At the Host Café, we want our customers to feel a warm welcome and enjoy great coffee. We are a community café offering a unique experience, our building has been transformed into a quirky warehouse style coffee shop. We have a fabulous mobile coffee cart which makes the best coffee, using locally roasted coffee beans. You will be working in a small friendly team and will be given training and support with the opportunity to gain a certificate in food hygiene.
