Looking to try something new whilst giving back to your community?
Join us at the Together in Hive Volunteer Fair on 2nd June from 9am–3pm at the Bridge Centre, Fratton and discover the many ways you can get involved and volunteer locally. No matter your age, experience, or background, the Volunteer Fair is open to everyone who is curious as it brings together a wide range of charities and organisations in one place, making it easy to explore different volunteering opportunities.
There’s no need to book—just drop in whenever it’s convenient for you. Take your time browsing the stalls, meet the organisations face to face, and chat with them about the roles they offer and how your time and skills could make a difference.
There will be many different charities and organisations attending that make a meaningful difference within our community. These groups rely on the support of local volunteers to continue their important work, and the fair offers a chance to learn more about how you can get involved—whether you have a little time to give or are looking for a more regular volunteering role. Representatives will be available to talk through the different opportunities they offer and explain how even small contributions can have a big impact.
With a wide variety of roles available, there is something to suit a range of interests, skills, and availability. Whether you’re hoping to gain new skills, meet new people, boost your confidence, or simply make a positive difference in your community, the Volunteer Fair is a great place to start.
Full details of available roles can also be found on our website, so you can explore opportunities before or after the event.
Come along, ask questions, and discover where volunteering could take you.
