Havelock Community Centre is looking for a capable and reliable volunteer to support our administration team as we transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
This is a practical role for someone who is confident with everyday IT and enjoys keeping information organised. You do not need to be an IT expert, as you will work alongside our IT Trustee, who will manage the more technical aspects of the project and provide guidance throughout.
Main responsibilities include:
Assisting with the migration of documents from Google Drive, Docs and Sheets into Microsoft storage systems. Saving, organising and structuring files and folders so they are easy for staff to access and use. Supporting the creation of basic Microsoft Forms and questionnaires. Transferring information from Google Sheets into Microsoft Excel. Helping ensure digital files are accurate, accessible and well organised.
This is also a welcoming, customer-facing role. As part of the position, you will:
Provide a friendly front-of-house presence for visitors. Help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the centre. Direct general enquiries to the appropriate member of the team.
About Havelock Community Centre:
Our goal is to improve the opportunities available for the people in our community by providing help, support, services and facilities.
Don't forget you can add up any volunteering hours as part of Team 100 Opportunity - Hive Portsmouth or part of the Donate 100 things challenge Opportunity - Hive Portsmouth.
