Website Editor - Word Press Marketing Volunteer

Together in the Hive Portsmouth, is Portsmouth's Volunteer Centre. We recruit and advertise volunteer opportunities for over 200 charities and organisations. We are looking for volunteers to help promote volunteering in the city as well as promote all the good work charities and organisations do. 

The volunteer website editor will need to be computer literate, and feel confident in navigating the Together in Hive Portsmouth website, you can view it here: The role will involve tasks such as: 

Producing new content and writing it in an interesting and appealing manner.

Sourcing images and artwork.

Maintaining the site and ensuring its information is accurate.

Creating and updating profiles for our available volunteer roles.

These tasks will require an individual with excellent communication skills, both written and oral, possess good keyboard skills, be creative and able to alter their style of writing to suit the audience of our website, and have a clear understanding and interest in what our organisation undertakes and achieves.

The role is to be completed from home so the volunteer will need a personal laptop. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who desires experience in website editing, or would like to build upon their online communication skills. We require the volunteer to dedicate 3-5 hours per week at a time that suits them.
