Reading volunteer to residents in care homes

We are looking for volunteers to read to residents in Portsmouth care homes. This could be reading a newspaper, a book or anything else.

Many of our residents receive no visitors and loneliness can be a major problem. Some may not talk much anymore or unable to communicate well but still enjoy people talking to them. This is a rewarding role that can be fun as well as challenging, and you can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people.

Could you spare an hour or two once a week or even once every two weeks?
