We are looking for befrienders in the Landport and Buckland areas of Portsmouth to visit socially isolated clients in their own homes.
Many of our clients are older people, confined to their own homes through declining mobility. We do also have younger clients, often with disability or mental health difficulties which have resulted in social isolation.
Just one visit a week from a befriender who can sit and have a chat with them brings a much needed relief to this loneliness and can improve our clients mental and physical well-being.
You could help someone near you.
Application Forms are also available from Portsmouth Together at Central Library.
