Holy Duster Volunteer for Portsmouth Cathedral

Our lovely team of Holy Dusters help to keep our Cathedral looking tip top. The main tasks are -

- Light cleaning of the worship space of the Cathedral.

- Tidying, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and generally maintaining the good order of the pews. 

- Polishing of brass (optional) 

- Reporting any maintenance Issues to the Vergers.

- Whilst being a practising Christian is not a requirement, volunteers should be sympathy with the ethos and aims of the Cathedral as a Christian organisation.

    Yes - we are happy for all to enquire about the role and it will be decided on as a case by case basis
  • No criminal record (DBS) check required
  • Will require references
    In line with Safer Recruiting we will need two references

Monday mornings, approximately 08.30 - 09.30 Ideally, we would like volunteers to give a minimum of 3 months commitment however, the longer you commit to this role the more you will benefit.
