Garden helpers

The  Stacey Community Centre has a beautiful Community Orchard  which has a variety of fruit trees, fruit bushes,  wildflowers and vegetable growing beds.

We have a volunteer group which meets on a Wednesday morning 10am til 1pm and we would love to have more volunteers help us look after the orchard.

Some of the garden tasks involved in looking after the orchard include watering, weeding, trimming, pruning, grass cutting, seed sowing, planting, sweeping and general tidying up.

The orchard is wheelchair/mobility scooter accessible and we have some tools which are for people with reduced mobility. If someone with a disability is interested i can always meet them and see how we can adapt things so they are suitable.
