The Engagement Volunteer will help the Head of Engagement and his PA to deliver SeeAbility's Engagement programme. This programme helps to champion the problems faced by people with learning disabilities and/or autism and sight loss, so that they can try to improve things. It offers mentoring to some of the people we support to help them to attend conferences and speak about their own lived experiences. This will enable them to contribute to shape what we do as an organisation, and also campaign externally about the things that matter to them.
The role will encompass administrative tasks and activities such as booking meetings , coordinating diaries, writing E-mails & taking minutes of meetings. It will also involve some project based tasks such as conducting research on the internet, helping to prepare presentations , supporting the associates or influencers to update the team and attending the fortnightly team meetings held on Zoom.
You will be part of a friendly team supporting the delivery of SeeAbility’s Engagement Plan, collaborating with people and on projects that will make a positive difference to people’s lives in the future & you will learn about SeeAbility, what we do and who we support.
