Community Group Volunteer - Portsmouth

We have a Serendipity Group that is growing in popularity in Portsmouth. We need an extra pair of hands to help the two volunteers that are currently coordinating the group.

We need organised and passionate individuals who want to support and facilitate community groups for autistic adults in your local community. Our groups are designed to help autistic adults to meet in a welcoming and non-judgemental setting. We need friendly and caring volunteers to make this happen.

What you will be doing:

Full training for the role will be provided with a 3 month induction period and then regular quarterly training sessions.

 Welcome new members to the group and help them settle in.
 Support members to participate in group activities.
 Help make suggestions about new group activities.
 Help send feedback about the group to Autism Hampshire staff.
 Keep an accurate record of attendance at the group.
 Report any concerns to Autism Hampshire staff.

Portsmouth Community Group runs every 2 weeks on a Monday from 5pm - 7pm

Whilst we value regular commitment, you will be joining a team, so you do not need to be available for every session. Please make your availability and preferred location known to Autism Hampshire staff.
