About us

Loaves of Love was created out of a wish to help and support women
asylum seekers and refugees in our local community. We bring women
together through the medium of baking bread to help them feel welcome
and valued in the community.

Our classes started in November 2021 and they are so popular that we
have already had to move to a venue big enough to accommodate 15
participants. Our team of volunteers includes local professional chefs.

Who are we looking for?

We need more Chefs to teach the classes and are looking for local people
who can spare 3 hours from time to time to teach a class. You would need
to be able to come up with recipes for bread, cakes, pastries, that can
be made in 3 hours, lead a class of participants whose first language
isn't English, and participate in meetings from time to time to discuss
the project and how to move it forward.
