Course overview:

This 1.5 hour session gives a complete overview of the work of the IWT in improving health and wellbeing and supporting the independence of vulnerable adults.  It will increase awareness of the services, information and resources available through the IWT and wider community opportunities, developing participant’s range of information and sign posting opportunities whilst developing their understanding of the impact of loneliness and social isolation.

Target Audience:

All staff, volunteers and community members working with people who are living independently within the community or those who have the capacity to regain the ability to do so.

 Learning Outcomes:

1. To raise awareness of the broad range of work supported by the IWT that is available to

professionals and the public

2. To gain knowledge of signposting opportunities

3. To increase awareness of the impact of social isolation and loneliness and understand the

positive outcomes social inclusion makes on health and wellbeing that
